Rebecca
After eight years working in
the beauty and lifestyle communications industry, latterly with L'Oréal
Luxury Products Division, Rebecca retrained as a Reflexologist under the
guidance of Michael and Louise Keet who run the Central London School of
Reflexology. She is now a qualified practitioner with a growing portfolio of
personal clients and is a member of the Association of
Reflexologists.
Reflexology is a gentle,
natural therapy, which helps to balance, relax and restore energy to the
body. During stress, illness, disease or injury, energy pathways become
blocked. Reflexology helps the body to heal itself and to promote health and
wellbeing. Each part of the body is represented in the feet or hands. Using a
compression technique with thumb and fingers, imbalances are detected. By
working these areas, toxins are released from the body, therefore stimulating
the body's own healing mechanism.

Clare
Clare left
university and entered stockbroking and subsequently management consultancy.
After several years' working for corporate organisations in London, her
passion for travel resulted in her departure around the world where she grew
her knowledge of yoga, studying under renowned teachers in the countries she
visited. She now teaches one-on-one and small groups, tailoring programmes
featuring dynamic Ashtanga and Iyengar-inspired yoga to suit individuals and
their needs. Clare has studied dynamic forms of yoga with Matthew Sweeny and Louisa Sear and has completed a two year practical Iyengar-style training with Ruth White, a direct student of BKS Iyengar. All her qualifications are recognised by the Yoga Alliance. Ashtanga is Clare's primary daily practice and she broadens her yoga knowledge and techniques through regular residential workshops around the world and through her studies under various teachers in the UK.
Although yoga helps to
strengthen the body, increase flexibility and stimulate circulation, it is
much more than a physical practice. As the postures are mastered and
techniques introduced for relaxation and breath control, yoga has the power to
calm the mind, increase concentration, enhance the ability to cope with
tension and allow the mind and body to focus on being in the present.
