A balanced business

Balance being, established in 2002, is a well-being and lifestyle events business set up by sisters, Rebecca and Clare Hopkins. Both young ladies have corporate backgrounds - Rebecca comes from the beauty and lifestyle communications industry and Clare is a former management consultant and stockbroker - so they know a great deal about the stresses and time-constraints of everyday corporate life.

"Balance being focuses on relaxation, well-being and pampering and our philosophy is to nurture the inner and outer self through a personal, tailor-made mix of yoga, holistic therapies and beauty treatments, as well as a wide range of fun activities," say the Hopkins sisters.

Balance being creates bespoke events for a variety of occasions and age groups. The events are ideally suited to anyone who wants to escape from the stresses of daily life and take time out to be thoroughly pampered and inspired. Events are hosted at new and inspiring venues from private apartments, to trendy private member clubs and on-site within the retail environment. Balance being works with a highly qualified team of therapists and specialists to ensure all their clients receive an exclusive and enhancing experience.

Balance being events to date include: a well-being beauty forum for Vogue; four in-store events for Top Shop including National Glamour Day at the Oxford Street store and the launch of the new Birmingham store in the Bullring centre; Channel 4's Christmas party 2002 and 2003; the launch of Shiseido's Benefiance Serum and the launch of Hobbs A/W 2003/4 collection in their King's Road store.
